As per the memorandum of understanding or MoU signed by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Apna, the jobs and professional networking platform, to improve the startup ecosystem in India, in terms of job opportunities and talent acquisition.
The objective is to improve the manner in which DPIIT-registered startups are able to connect with the best talent/candidates, leading to adequate job opportunities for youngsters across India.
Under this collaboration, startups registered on the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR), a digital platform for startup stakeholders, will receive hiring credits worth Rs 2,000 each on the Apna platform. To begin with the value of the programme would be about Rs 140 crore, which will increase as the startup ecosystem itself grows and expands. It is predicted that eventually the initiative will be valued at Rs 300 crore.
Startups will be able to access the vast pool of talent available, which will ensure that the right talent gets the right opportunity or role. The Startup India programme of DPIIT will work with Apna to put up job postings and align talent pools with the needs of the industry, further smoothening the hiring process.
