    Former Flipkart University dean named SV-P L&OD at Jana Small Finance Bank

    Vivek Mehrotra comes with 33 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, telecom, retail and e-commerce.

    Vivek Mehrotra, who was the dean of Flipkart University in his earlier role, has been elevated as senior vice president, learning & organisation development at Jana Small Finance Bank. Prior to this he was Vice President, L&OD at Janalakshmi Financial Services.

    Mehrotra is a senior professional with over 33 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, telecom, retail, and e-commerce. He has successfully launched several large-scale training and coaching rollouts, targeted performance coaching and leadership development, including the rollout of assessment centres.

    He spent the first 13 years of his career in sales at Lupin, before moving on to training in the Company for six years, in 1995. He also headed the sales function at Lupin.

    In 2006, he moved to Reliance Retail as head of training operation and stayed there for more than seven years.

    In 2014, Mehrotra joined Flipkart as head-academy for supply chain and was given the responsibility to set up the ‘Academy for Supply Chain’ at Flipkart India.

    After two years, Mehrotra was named the dean of Flipkart University. His responsibility was to set up processes for competency-based leadership development, career progression, succession planning, developing community of practices (CoP) for leadership development.

    He also planned initiatives, such as the ‘assessment & development centre’ and ‘coach on call’.
