HCL Technologies, as a ‘preferred partner’ for Airbus, has entered into a five-year digital workplace services agreement with the latter. The Company will set up a modernised digital workplace with the aim of improving the user experience and service quality for Airbus’ staff worldwide.

The Fluid Workplace Model from HCL will allow Airbus to use the latest digital technologies effectively, to make its IT processes lucid and optimise delivery costs. It will use end-to-end management services to cover the information and operational technology landscape.

It is expected that HCL’s experience in scale transformation, and management information and operational technology will give Airbus the much sought after competitive edge in terms of innovation. It will also enable Airbus to ensure the perfect user experience.

Recently, Airbus inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the GMR Group to look at ways to work together across aviation services, technologies and innovation for commercial as well as military aircraft.

At the Aero India 2021 aerospace show held in Bangalore recently, Airbus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Flytech Aviation Academy, the Indian aviation training academy, to work together in the space of Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) training.

Meanwhile, HCL’s global IT development centre is gearing up to hire 1,000 at its centre in Gannavaram, Andhra Pradesh.

It will also be hiring about 1,000 freshers and experienced professionals for its campus in Nagpur.
