Lingaro Group, a global IT company, is set to recruit tech talent three times its current number from India in the coming year. This strategic move aligns with the company’s commitment to exponential growth, aiming for a 50–60 per cent increase in the current global team strength.

This recruitment drive in India centres around acquiring diverse technical expertise, encompassing roles such as data engineers, BI developers, frontend developers, machine learning and AI engineers, as well as support specialists. Additionally, the company places significant importance on soft skills, including a growth mindset, collaboration, autonomy and experience working in international teams.

By boosting its acquisition process in India, the company intends to build a top-notch delivery organisation, meeting its diverse needs globally. The company strongly believes that India holds an expansive pool of technology talent and stands out as a leading global destination for technology and knowledge services. Additionally, it is the most preferred location for global capability centres (GCCs). The company foresees that in FY 2023 alone, the total number of GCCs in India is expected to reach 1,570.

Citing a NASSCOM report, the company also highlighted that the Indian technology industry is actively investing in the recruitment and skill enhancement of fresh talent, engaging in collaborations with the government and academic institutions to nurture expertise in cutting-edge tech domains. The industry is also committed to enhancing this talent pool in novel technological fields such as deep tech, Gen AI, robotics, and space tech.

Discussing Lingaro’s growth strategy, Suresh Ramamoorthy, country head, India, Lingaro, expressed, that the company acknowledges the tremendous potential within India’s expanding tech landscape and views it as a crucial contributor to our global growth plan. “We strive to offer clients the services of a highly- experienced development team focused on analytics and GenAI. Our expansion in India, a vibrant tech hub with a rich talent ecosystem, showcases our commitment to realising that goal. At the same time, we will be offering local professionals a great opportunity to gain global exposure with the convenience of working from home,” he added.

The company also offers a variety of upskilling opportunities to its global workforce, such as unrestricted access to the Udemy Business platform and internal training programmes.

The Learning & Development Team customises solutions to meet specific local learning requirements, fostering ongoing professional advancement and internal mobility initiatives.

Furthermore, the company enables employees to work remotely through its distinctive “Office-as-an-Option” model, to attract talent with diverse experiences and expertise in areas such as development, solution and system architecture, data science, and data management.
