Matrimony.com, India’s top matrimonial site, has collaborated with the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichy, one of the oldest universities in Tamil Nadu, to create a specialised skill development programme for its executives. The objective of this programme is to cultivate future leaders for the organisation.

On June 15, 2023, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Matrimony.com and BIM was signed at Matrimony.com’s corporate office in Chennai.

Asit Barma, director, BIM, and Rajesh Balaji, CHRO, Matrimony.com, signed the MoU in the presence of senior leaders from Matrimony.com. Balaji expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with BIM to develop future leaders. He detailed that this blended programme focuses on analytics, efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and management principles and participants would apply these concepts to solve organisational challenges for growth. He further reiterated that they had immense trust in BIM’s expertise and credibility.

Shared his delight regarding the MoU, Barma said that BIM recognises the significance of multidisciplinary projects and consulting in new-age applications. With experienced faculty and diverse expertise, BIM provides an ideal platform to learn modern leadership skills that leverage data for non-linear growth. They looked forward to the MoU with Matrimony.com, which fosters experimentation and the use of data to build innovative business models.

The emerging leaders programme, spanning six months, will offer a comprehensive and immersive learning experience, combining theory and practise with a focus on experiential learning. The programme will incorporate case studies, simulation tools, activities, real-time projects, mentoring, role plays, and lectures on topics such as big-picture thinking, execution excellence, nurturing high-performance teams, and data-driven decision-making.

The company is a leading consumer internet company in India, managing renowned brands like BharatMatrimony, CommunityMatrimony, and EliteMatrimony. BharatMatrimony, the largest and most trusted matrimonial brand in India, has also established a significant retail presence through over 110 self-owned outlets across the country. Matrimony.com has introduced Jodii, an exclusive matchmaking service available in nine Indian languages catering to non-graduates.
