Kavita Singh, chief human resources officer and director – people at United Breweries, has stepped down from her role, bringing to a close a five-year tenure with the company.

Her resignation will be effective at the close of business hours on April 30, 2026. The company disclosed the development as part of regulatory filings, stating that Singh has decided to pursue opportunities outside the organisation.

During her time at United Breweries, Singh led the people function across a complex and distributed workforce that includes manufacturing operations, unionised environments and corporate teams. The company operates 19 manufacturing plants and 16 co-packing units, with a workforce of over 12,000 employees and multiple unions.

Her role involved overseeing the full spectrum of HR, including talent management, leadership development, safety, health and wellbeing, as well as driving change management initiatives aligned with business priorities.

Prior to joining United Breweries in 2021, Singh served as chief human resources officer at Hindustan Zinc. Before that, she spent nearly a decade with A.P. Moller – Maersk, where she held several senior roles, including regional director and head of human resources for Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, and global HR business partner based in Copenhagen.

Earlier in her career, she worked with organisations such as ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata AIG General Insurance and Reliance Infocomm, building experience across talent acquisition, compensation, performance management and HR transformation.

In her resignation note, Singh reflected on her time at United Breweries, describing it as a period of significant learning and professional growth, and acknowledged the support and collaboration she experienced during her tenure.

The company has placed on record its appreciation for her contributions and wished her well for the future.
Her departure comes amid continued churn in senior HR roles across sectors, as organisations recalibrate leadership teams and talent strategies in response to evolving business demands.
