She said the night before Meta’s first major round of job cuts felt “almost like doomsday,” with people filling their bags with free snacks, drinks, and chargers before the layoffs began.
Adel Wu, who used to work at Meta, reportedly posted on X about the tense atmosphere during those layoffs. Her post went viral just as new reports suggested
Meta could announce another big round of cuts on 20 May, possibly affecting about?8,000?jobs. Wu recalled that uncertainty inside the offices was overwhelming.
