Given the way its business is growing in France, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is gearing to expand its workforce there. It hopes to double its present headcount to 3,200 by 2027.

The company currently boasts of 1,600 employees in the country, of which 60 per cent are French nationals.

Sapthagiri Chapalapalli is the head of European Business, TCS, which has been operating in France for almost 30 years now, having collaborated successfully with 80 clients. The Indian multinational is ready to expand further now as per media reports.

Its Paris innovation centre is proof of TCS’ commitment to pushing technological advancements in the area.

Meanwhile, in the UK, TCS is expanding its ties with British insurance provider, Aviva. This 15-year deal will see Diligenta, TCS’ FCA-regulated subsidiary in Britain handling end-to-end policy administration and servicing covering more than 5.5 million policies on behalf of Aviva.

In other words, TCS will facilitate the transformation of Aviva’s British life business. Aviva’s customer experience will be further enhanced thanks to the use of the TCS BaNCS-based platform.

It is pertinent to mention here that TCS is amongst the biggest information technology (IT) employers in the UK. It has been operating in the country for over four decades and has been working with more than 200 of Britain’s big organisations such as Sainsbury’s, British Airways, Virgin Atl Atlantic, Nationwide, M&S, Asda and Boots.
