upGrad appoints Preeti Kaul as president-HR

eLearning company, upGrad brings on board Preeti Kaul as president of human resources. She will be based out of the online higher education company’s Mumbai office.

Having served in HR leadership roles in organisations, such as UnitedHealth Group and WNS Global Services, Kaul comes with more than two decades of experience in the HR domain. At upGrad, Kaul will lead the human resources function, and leverage her expertise in building a talent.

According to an official communique, Mayank Kumar, co-founder and MD, upGrad, acknowedged Kaul’s business prowess and massive experience in building and nurturing a talent.  “I am delighted to have her on board as a part of the upGrad senior leadership team and look forward to leveraging her expertise in developing and delivering effective people strategies that support our teams and our future endeavours,” says Kumar.

Earlier, Kaul has worked with UnitedHealth Group, WNS Global Services, Atos Syntel and Ernst & Young, delivering high business impact through transformational and futuristic combinations of people, practices and processes. 

Talking about her new role as president-HR, Kaul says, “Diving into the ed-tech industry with the leading online higher education company, upGrad, is a major step in my career. Kaul has pursued her MBA in HR as well as a post-graduate diploma in labour laws and welfare. She has also completed the executive leadership programme from the prestigious Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
