Upraised welcomes freshers for internship placements

Edtech startup, Upraised, which focusses on upskilling tech professionals, is now inviting students from engineering, MBA, design & arts and commerce colleges, who are on the lookout for internship placements. Through its ‘Embark Internship Programme 2021’ Upraised will help students land internship opportunities on the basis of their skills and interests, rather than their qualifications or degrees.

Last year’s internship programme saw 11,500 students from over 50 Tier 1 and 2 colleges of India being assessed. The top 40 students were selected and placed as product-management interns at RazorPay, Mobile Premier League, MXPlayer, Treebo, 1MG and other leading tech companies.

This year’s version of Embark Internship Programme 2021 aims to make internships accessible to students, irrespective of their college, graduate degrees or the city they live in. Students will be able to do internships across five high-impact career tracks — product & growth, design, people operations, business operations and analytics.

Mona Gandhi, founder, Upraised, points out that “aspiring students are eager to land internships at high-growth companies, which want to be the first to discover and hire young exceptional talent.” The programme is “a win-win for both companies and candidates”, as it leads to “making a longer term commitment.”

“Embark ensures a 100% guaranteed internship that upskills these students and also gives them the opportunity to find their dream job.”

To get this opportunity with Embark, students will have to pass the Embark Skills Assessment Test (ESAT). The selected students will be put through six-week training programme and land an internship with guaranteed stipend with an option of converting to a preplacement offer (PPO). The internship programme is free for students and registrations will continue till 15 August 2021. Final-year students enrolled (graduating in 2022) or pre-final year students (graduating in 2023) in any undergraduate or postgraduate programme are free to register via the Upraised website.
