WeWork India announced a company-wide 10-day extended break for its employees during Diwali. The move is part of the Company’s goal to create a more employee-friendly culture in India.

Acknowledging the hard work put in by its employees to cater to the emerging needs of a hybrid and flexible world,

Priti Shetty, head of people, WeWork India, says, “As a gesture of gratitude towards the contribution and resilience of our people, we have offered a 10-day Diwali break. Behind every great employee, is a family that has provided a strong support system and this is our way of saying thank you to the loved ones of our employees as well, and hope the festive season brings much joy and celebrations, in a safe way.”

The Company has renewed its holiday policies, offering wellness leave and impact leave to give back to the community, in addition to 20 days of privilege leave. It plans to offer a ten-day opportunity for its employees to work from any location.

WeWork India is stepping up its employee-engagement and wellness initiatives, introducing a ‘homecoming programme’ for parents returning to work after parental leave, and so on. It has also revisited its company values and published its culture code, to clearly define what the Company stands for and communicate the same to the talent it continues to attract, develop and engage. The new company values are, ‘do the right thing, be entrepreneurial, strive to win together, be sustainable and be human and kind’.
