Affle India, the global technology company and consumer intelligence-driven mobile marketing platform, has appointed Major Sonam Bakshi as its chief human resource officer. Bakshi, who was earlier with Clix Capital as CHRO, has about 19 years of experience in human capital.
With wide experience working in the Indian Army and various IT and finance multinational companies, Bakshi was part of the founding team at Clix Capital.
Before joining Clix Capital, she was managing a multicultural team at Wipro, across India and the Middle East. Having spent almost five years at Wipro, she lead the Company’s manufacturing & hi-tech, government and defence, HLS/IT & ITES as well as the communications verticals. She worked to stabilise the critical business units and also interacted closely with the leadership, coaching them to lead change and build performing teams.
Before joining Wipro, Bakshi worked with Amicorp as group HR manager for two years. This stint saw her implementing PeopleSoft across international locations, bringing down attrition levels by 31 per cent and also cutting hiring costs by 55 per cent.
At Affle’s Gurugram office, Bakshi will be responsible for not only hiring new talent but also developing, motivating and retaining the high performers. She will be focussing on getting talent ready for the future. Her responsibilities will include handling organisational development and effectiveness, implementing effective learning and development programmes, as well as ensuring diversity and inclusion. In addition, she will also take care of compensation and benefits, and performance management.
A certified scuba diver, Bakshi is also an avid mountaineer. HRKatha wishes her all the best in her endeavour to achieve greater heights!
