    Indian Oil has promoted Rashmi Govil to director-HR

    Indian Oil Corporation has elevated Rashmi Govil as its new director-human resources, effective immediately.

    With an extensive career spanning over three decades in the industry, Govil embarked on her journey with the petroleum refinery giant in 1994, assuming the role of deputy manager-employee relations. She held the role for close to 13 years, and was based out of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

    Since then, she has ascended various leadership positions, demonstrating her abilities and commitment. In the year 2007, she was promoted to the general manager role for the divisional headquarters in New Delhi. In 2017, she became the chief general manager-corporate office.

    After about five years, Govil was serving as the executive director-human resources for its corporate office.

    Her professional journey commenced as a management trainee at Shcil Services, in the year 1994.

    Govil is revered as an expert in industrial relations.

    As an HR professional her expertise lies in HR strategy, L&D, talent management, employee relations, digital adoption and HR operstions. Furthermore, she has led numerous high-impact change initiatives in the areas of holistic employee well-being, succession management, strategic workforce planning, performance management, HRMS, talent acquisition, R&R and e-L&D for excellent employee experience.

    Academically, Govil holds an MBA in HR from the BundelKhand University, Jhansi and a postgraduate diploma in finance.

    Her appointment marks a significant milestone as she becomes the second woman to join the esteemed leadership cadre of the petroleum refinery company.

    Furthermore, Govil is an avid learner with a passion to drive excellence through people-centric leadership. She is also a firm believer in the power of the human mind to accomplish the extraordinary, as per her social handle.
