The post of chief people officer has been left vacant at ABP News Network with Kavita Dasan putting in her papers. Dasan had joined ABP in 2019 as its HR head. Prior to joining ABP, Dasan served as the VP-HR at Dewan Housing Finance Corp. (DHFL), where she had led the design and execution of core HR programmes for a 10,000 strong workforce, and also ensurd smooth implementation of all HR processes and systems since March, 2017.
At ABP Network, Dasan managed to build an open, creative and learning culture leading to high growth and business innovations. She is credited with designing career paths, crafting talent strategy, keeping pace with the ever changing business landscape , creating a pipeline of future-ready employees capable of driving growth and innovation. She led all people experience programmes in the areas of total rewards, diversity, inclusion, employee wellbeing, talent management and employer branding.
Before joining DHFL, Dasan was the VP-HR at Zee Entertainment Enterprise for over four years, leading HR practices for a more than 1700 strong workforce across India. She was head of HR for Tensports, Zee Unimedia, Taj Television, and also head-regional HR, that is, for all businesses in North, East and South.
She has also served as deputy general manager, HR at DCM Shriram for more than three and a half years, from 2008 to 2012. She led HR for the rural retail division of DCM Shriram, which had an employee base of more than 2500, spread across 300 locations in the country.
Dasan has experience in talent acquisition, having served as chief manager-talent acquisition at Vihaan Networks, Delhi. There she handled the hiring of niche skills, working on GSM technology.
In her long and successful professional journey, she has led talent acquisition and employee engagement for over a year at Times Internet, based out of Gurgaon. There, she was responsible for manpower planning and staffing, as well as strategic competency-based talent acquisition using psychometric tools. She also introduced several initiatives with the objective of building the culture of the organisation based on value system and teamwork.
For almost eight years, she served as the senior manager-talent acquisition and employee engagement at the Times Group, where she looked after strategic talent acquisition, succession planning and recruitment processes across the Group.
Before joining the Times Group, Dasan served as officer-HR at Chase Perdana Berhad, a Malaysian multinational company that deals in oil & gas, construction, real estate, manufacturing, trading, property and general investment as well as travel & tour.
An alumna of Delhi University, this commerce graduate specialised in human resources from IIM, Ahmedabad. That is not all, she is also a Grow More Coach. This international coach certification equips Dasan to help individuals and organisations bring about positive and sustainable change with the help of multiple global tools and techniques.
