    Nilesh Kumar joins Viacom 18 as VP-HR

    Nilesh Kumar, who was the vice president, HR at Zivame, has joined Viacom 18 as the vice president-HR. By accepting this position, Kumar has switched from omnichannel e-commerce to the media and entertainment industry. Having joined Viacom 18 in mid-September, he has moved to Mumbai.

    In his new role, Kumar will contribute to the Group’s larger people-development agenda through his years of experience and expertise across industries and functions. He reports to Abhinav Chopra, who is the CHRO and senior executive vice president, HR.

    Kumar, an IIT Kharagpur and XLRI Jamshedpur graduate, comes with over 14 years of experience across industries. As a fresh graduate, he started his career at GSK Consumer Healthcare in 2004, where he was HR business partner for the sales team of the western region. Gradually, he made his way up the hierarchy to take up the position in manufacturing HR & Talent Acquisitions roles. By 2015, before he moved to Zivame.com, he was leading the total rewards vertical for GSK Consumer India, as the general manager-HR (Total Rewards).

    Kumar brings with him rich experience of over 14 years in talent acquisition, total rewards, business partnering, mergers & acquisitions, manufacturing, factory HR , employer branding, talent management and various other global assignments as well.
