Nagarajan’s early career stints include working as an HR manager at Microland for one year, followed by a four-year stint with A F Ferguson & Co as a senior consultant.

In 1995, he joined Hindustan Unilever, where he was involved in organisation restructuring, performance management and capability development for almost eight years. His last held designation at HUL was that of head-HR, Modern Foods. He moved to BPB India Gypsum, as HR manager, Asia for three years, before joining AstraZeneca Pharma India in 2006, as VP-HR.

He then joined Unilever Sri Lanka, in 2007. By May 2015, he had become the director-HR and corporate relations, based out of Colombo. This was probably his longest stint spanning over nine and a half years.

It was in October 2016 that he joined Dabur International, Dubai as head-HR.

In his new role at Cadila, he will focus on leadership development and talent management.
