Selvi Supuriamaniam, who is the HR director, Middle East & East-West Africa, Stanley Black & Decker, has now taken on the additional role of HR director for India. She has been with the British tools and innovative solutions company since 2024.
Supuriamaniam began as a humble HR executive in August of 2007, with Kao Penang Group of Malaysia. Less than five years later, she moved to Coca-Cola Bottlers (Malaysia) as human resource business partner, in May of 2012.
Just over a year later, she was elevated to head-organisational development and learning, in September of 2013. Nine months into this role, she was promoted to talent acquisition manager-Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
After five successful years with Coca-Cola, Selvi Supuriamaniam moved to Baxter International as human resource manager.
General Mills roped her in to play senior HR manager (South East Asia) in July of 2018. Over a year into this role, she was promoted to head HR (Middle East and Africa). Over two years later she was elevated once again to lead-Asia Women Leadership Network. This role required her to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
October of 2021 saw her elevated to head-talent and organisational effectiveness, global emerging markets (GEMS). Among other responsibilities, she designed, developed, and implemented global innovative talent-management programmes and processes to improve depth, quality and engagement of talent across the organisation.
After a year’s career break, Supuriamaniam took up the role of HR director Middle East and East West Africa in July of 2024.
With her responsibilities expanded now, she will handle India as part of the multiple markets she is responsible for.
