    Sheebu David, new CHRO of GE

    GE has appointed Sheebu David as the new CHRO, South Asia, to take the place of Ravindra Kumar GP, who moved to Tata Motors as CHRO. David was previously head- HR, GE India Technology Centre.

    With an experience of over 20 years, David has been working with the GE Group for the larger part of her career. She joined GE in 2005 as the organisational and staffing leader at GE Commercial Finance, GE Capital.

    After three and a half years, David moved up the ladder to take on the position of vice president, human resources, GE capital. She has also served as the HR manager -India engineering organisation, GE energy.

    David has worked in various industries, such as financial services, oil and energy, technology retail and food and beverages. Prior to joining GE, she has worked with organisations, such as Perfetti Van Melle, HCL Commet Systems & services and Shoppers Stop.

    Having completed her schooling in 1993 from Mater Dei School, she obtained a B.Com (Hons) degree from Jesus and Mary College. David completed her PGDM in HR from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, before her first stint in the HR function as a management trainee at Shoppers stop.
