ICICI Bank has elevated Soumendra Mattagajasingh to the position of chief human resources officer (CHRO). Mattagajasingh’s association with the Bank began more than 21 years ago.
An alumnus of Berhampur University, Mattagajasingh was a senior officer at HPCL in the initial years of his career, for five years, from 1997 to 2002.
His association with ICICI Bank began over two decades ago, in 2010. After serving for two years as business HR head-West, he was promoted to business HR head-retail banking and practice head –employee relations. He has been essaying this role for more than 21 years now. Talent acquisition, organisational development and employee engagement are his forte.
Mattagajasingh has stepped into the shoes of TK Srirang, who has now taken on the role of joint managing director of ICICI Securities for five years. He has also served as course coach at Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Srirang has been associated with ICICI Bank since 2001. He has also served as an advisor to the Executive Board.
Additionally, he is a member of the Governing Council of ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth; and also a member of the governing body of The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B). This industrial engineering graduate holds an MBA degree in personnel management and industrial relations.
