Dubai’s Department of Government Human Resources (DGHR) has launched three initiatives aimed at strengthening employee wellbeing across the government workforce, with a focus on flexible working, financial security and the workplace environment.

The initiatives are designed to address different aspects of employees’ working lives as part of Dubai Government’s wider efforts to improve employee experience and create a more sustainable work environment.

As part of the programme, DGHR will review and develop flexible working policies, giving government entities greater scope to adopt work arrangements that respond to employees’ needs while ensuring operational requirements are met.

The department is also introducing measures to support financial wellbeing, recognising financial security as an important part of overall employee wellbeing. The initiative will focus on helping government employees manage financial pressures and build greater financial resilience.

The third initiative focuses on creating a more supportive workplace environment, with measures aimed at promoting employees’ physical, psychological and social wellbeing.

Together, the initiatives reflect a broader approach to employee wellbeing that extends beyond traditional health and wellness programmes to include work flexibility, financial security and the overall employee experience.

As per DGHR, the measures are intended not only to support employees but also to strengthen organisational performance and build a more resilient and productive government workforce.
