Subir Sinha has joined Lin Scan, the company that serves the oil & gas industry across the world, as HR and development manager (regional head, HR). He will oversee HR functions for India, SEA and Africa, with effect from 17 February.

Talking to HRKatha, Sinha shares, “The reason that motivated me to take up this role was a good offer and a great opportunity. I wanted to give up being an independent consultant and take up a full-time job.”

Sinha will be responsible for the entire HR function in the region for the organisation. His first assignment is to hire the director and operation head for the Region.

Sinha comes with 27 years of experience in HR and has worked across various sectors, such as manufacturing, FMCG, retail, ITeS, telecom and consulting.

Having started his career with Creative Outwear, he played an instrumental role in setting up the garment manufacturing unit. He also worked with Arvind Mills for 11 years honing his skills in all the aspects of HR. With particular expertise in talent acquisition and engagement, including recruitment of senior management and functional heads, he successfully managed campus selections, international hiring and mass-scale recruitment as well.

Sinha was one of the first employees of Reliance Retail in Gujarat. He and his team managed to hire 400 management staff without the help of any recruitment agencies or advertisements. Sinha also played a key role in opening the retail stores and setting up operations for Reliance Retail in Gujarat.

From there, Sinha moved to Motlif as director-HR for a short stint of 13 months.

An alumnus of XISS, Sinha has also worked with Reliance Communications as the assistant VP-HR for Bihar and Jharkhand.
