    TPG gets Bappaditya Banerjee as principal-HR, lead for Europe & Middle East

    TPG, the global alternative asset-management firm, has roped in Bappaditya Banerjee for the role of principal-human resources, lead for Europe and the Middle East. He will be working out of London, in the UK.

    An alumnus of the Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune, Banerjee’s professional journey began as a humble human resource executive, with Mascon Global.

    He joined Standard Chartered Bank as HR case analyst in 2003. In less than a year and a half, he was elevated to HR relationship manager, consumer and corporate banking, which required him to move from Chennai to Mumbai. After almost five years, he was promoted to county HR lead for high value client coverage and products, consumer banking. After a successful tenure that lasted almost a decade, Bappaditya Banerjee moved from Standard Chartered to Maersk GSC, as general manager, human resources-AP Moller Maersk.

    Banerjee’s next stop was Deutsche Bank, in July of 2013, as vice president-HR. After over four and a half years at Deutsche, he switched to WNS Global Services, as corporate senior vice president-human resources.

    From November 2018 to December 2021, he was associated with Citi as senior vice president-human resources, enterprise operations and technology.

    His association with Goldman Sachs began in December 2021, as executive director and global HR business partner-consumer and EMEA wealth management. Over a year into this role he was promoted to executive director and EMEA HR business partner, asset and wealth management, Goldman Sachs.

    ‘Bappa’ as Bappaditya Banerjee is affectionately called, is known to be a thorough professional with impeccable work ethics. HRKatha wishes him all the best in his latest assignment at TPG.
