Vikas Dua joins IPG DXTRA, a marketing communications company, as head of human resources. A member of the board of advisors at HuddleUp and advisor to the steering committee for BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dua was also founder and chief HR mentor for Attayn, before taking on this new assignment.
An HR professional with experience working with both startups and large corporations — such as Wipro & Concentrix, driving HR in the APAC region — Dua has been instrumental in building careers for over 1,20,000 individuals across levels.
Having completed an MBA from IBS, with dual specialisation in marketing and finance, Dua started off his career with Infinity Knowledge Systems as head – business development. Three years later, in 2007, he joined Wipro Digital Operations and Platforms as senior manager – talent creation and employee branding. There he established the internal employee education programme, SEED, and also initiated alternate recruitment channels, including ‘Train & Hire’ programmes. In less than two years, he was promoted to the role of AVP – talent acquisition, heading mid-level lateral hiring and hiring at international centres. Within five years, he went on to become AVP – talent acquisition (head – global media telecom & technical support services verticals). In this role, he led the hiring for two of the largest business verticals for Wipro BPS — Global Media & Telecom and Technical Helpdesk.
After a long and successful tenure at Wipro, in 2016, Dua moved on to join Concentrix as senior group leader – human resources. For over two years, he led the multi-domain ITES hiring for the North zone, driving annual recruitment of over 11,000 resources across 6 sites.
His next stop was Aegis Global, where he joined as vice president – HR in 2018. Based out of Gurgaon, he led strategy and operations for talent acquisition for 26 centres pan-India.
