The XLRI School of Business and Human Resources has concluded its summer internship placements, with the first batch of 2016–18 comprising 361 students achieving 100 per cent placement.
Ninety-two companies participated in the summer internship placement process wherein 156 jobs were offered in the areas of consulting, finance, sales and marketing, operations, business development (BM), human resources (HR) and industrial relations (IR).
Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Star India, Akzonobel, Mahindra, Mondelez, TAS, BCG, GE and P&G were among the recruiters. There were 21 first-time recruiters too.
The maximum number of offers were made by the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, followed by the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector and the conglomerates. The number of offers from the manufacturing sector was far less, while the least number of offers came from the consulting domain.
The participation of e-commerce recruiters was reduced to 50 per cent of the last year.
