Vacancies have been announced by the National Fertilisers Limited (NFL) and NHPC, erstwhile National Hydroelectric Power Corp — for 40 and 86 positions respectively — in the fields of engineering and management, for Indian nationals only.
Engineering graduates with experience, and a minimum of 60 per cent marks from a reputed college, may apply for the positions at NFL. Candidates between 30 and 45 years of age may apply, as per the specifications of the job. Selected engineering candidates will be eligible to earn up to Rs 1,40,000, while for management positions, the salary may go up to Rs 2,00,000. The last date for receipt of applications is September 25. For applicants from far-flung areas, the last date is October 1.
Only candidates registered with GATE 2020, UGC NET 2020 or CLAT 2020 can apply for the positions announced by NHPC. Certified chartered accountants and management accountants are also eligible to apply for the positions. Internal candidates with the requisite qualifications may also apply. The last date for receipt of application sis September 28. The selected candidates are eligible for a salary of up to Rs 1,60,000.
As part of the ‘Skill India’ initiative, NFL has been collaborating with industrial training institutes (ITIs) in the vicinity of its plants, to train youth in various trades. The objective is to make them more employable in heavy and process industries. Not long ago, NFL’s Nangal plant signed an MoU with the Nangal ITI, to impart training to youth in 12 different trades. The students will be trained under the dual system of training, wherein they will learn theoretical skills at the ITI and receive on-the-job training at the NFL plant.
