IIM Indore just completed its final placements for its 2019-20 post-graduate programme (PGP) batch and for its five year integrated programme (IPM) batch. This year, the highest domestic salary offered stood at INR 50 LPA. Compared to last year’s highest offer within the country, which stood at 40.50 LPA, this year saw a 23.5 per cent increase in total salary.

Almost 160 recruiters participated in this year’s placements, including several new comers and serial recruiters who participate almost every year. Over 45 new recruiters participated in this year’s campus hiring. Among the regulars were Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, CRISIL, and Phillips. Cloudtail, FIITJEE, Kohler, Flipkart and Thompson Reuters were among the new entrants in this year’s campus placements.

Similar to last year’s 2017-2019 PGP and dual degree batches, consulting, sales and marketing and finance were the roles in most demand this year as well. Domain wise, the largest number of offers were made for finance at 23.3 per cent, followed by sales and marketing at 23 per cent, consulting at 21.5 per cent, IT at 20.3 per cent and finally, operations and other roles at 11.8 per cent.

While the highest domestic package offered went up from 40.50 LPA to 50 LPA, the average salary offered for the entire batch also went up to 22.92 LPA. The median salary stood at 20 LPA.

This year, the batch also saw two international offers, of which the highest offer made stood at 89.25 LPA.

“We are delighted that once again the top companies of the country and the MNCs have reposed their faith in our students. These placement results are proof of the hard work put in by our students, and the quality business education imparted by the Institute. In the years to come, we will continue to strengthen our engagement with the industry and ensure that we continue to create socially conscious, responsible leaders who help to make this world a better place,” stated Prof. Himanshu Rai, director, IIM Indore, in a press release.
