Padmaja Alaganandan, an employee of PWC since May 2011, is the firm’s new chief people officer as announced by the organisation on 15th April, 2019.

Jagjit Singh was the chief people office before this who has now decided to move on after finishing four and a half years there. Singh has more than 29 years of multi sectoral Indian & International experience. He was working out of the firm’s Gurgaon office.

Alaganandan has been associated with PWC for over eight years and has worn multiple hats during the stint. Prior to her current appointment, Padmaja was the Technology sector lead for PWC’s Advisory Line of Service. Before that, she was the leader of the firm’s People and Organisation Consulting practice.

She has over 25 years of consulting experience across business and human capital advisory across diverse industries. Before joining PWC, she has worked in leadership roles in organisations such as Mercer Consulting and A.F Ferguson.

Apparently, she worked for three years in PWC’s strategy and change consulting practice before joining Mercer. Having spent a large chunk of her career in the organisation, she is an asset and the right fit for the coveted role of the chief people officer.

Alaganandan’s move coincides with the firm’s plan for investing heavily in preparing its workforce to be future fit. Her knowledge of firm’s business coupled with her client servicing experience will help the organisation to move into fast track of success by disrupting people strategies.

Alaganandan has completed her graduation from the University of Madras and management from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
