Hexaware Technologies has appointed Vishwanath Joshi as chief people officer. Joshi will be stepping into the shoes of Amberin Memon, who is retiring after serving the Company for 25 years in several leadership roles.

Joshi has moved to Hexaware— the informational technology, BPO and consulting company— from Great Place to Work, India, where he was the practice head. He was responsible for driving culture-building programmes in various organisations across multiple sectors. Given his two decades of rich professional experience in multiple areas, including academics, consulting, and research, Joshi possesses expertise in strategic HR, organisational development and leadership.

R Srikrishna, CEO and executive director, Hexaware Technologies, welcomed Joshi on board and emphasised how significant his contribution will be at a time when the Company requires a cultural transformation in order to become a multi-billion-dollar organisation.

Expressing his excitement to settle into his new role, Joshi highlighted the fact that team work and collaboration coupled with good leadership can help build a great culture. Grateful for the opportunity that has been given to him, Joshi, who is a postgraduate in human resource management from Pune University, is looking forward to creating “something special” at Hexaware.

A doctorate in human resource development (HRD) and organisational development (OD) from the Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad, Joshi seems to be the right choice for Hexaware to fulfil its organisational goals.
