After almost four years of handling recruitment delivery and transformation at KPMG India, Debasmita Sarkar has been elevated to associate director – talent acquisition.
An alumna of St Xavier’s College,Kolkata, Debasmita Sarkar went on to complete a PGPBM in Human Resources/Industrial Relations from International School of Business & Media.
She interned with ITC before joining Zedpoint Management Services as talent acquisition consultant in June of 2011. Over a year later, she moved to Wipro Infotech as talent acquisition specialist, in June of 2012. For the next more than three and a half years, she was dabbling in partner identification, team management, cost negotiation, resource engagement and planning, as well as leading contract domain hiring nationally and volume hiring in eastern India.
February of 2016 saw Debasmita Sarkar switch from Wipro to PwC. For almost four years she looked after lateral and campus recruitment for PwC Acceleration Centres in India. A promotion in 2020 saw her handling the responsibility of campus hiring and university relations.
After over six years with PwC, based out of Kolkata, Debasmita Sarkar joined KPMG to look after recruitment delivery and transformation, in February of 2022. For over four years she successfully managed the full life cycle recruitment for leadership roles across KPMG India’s affiliates in the country. She also spearheaded innovative hiring strategies that enhanced talent-acquisition efficiency.
Now, in her elevated position she will continue to contribute her expertise across campus hiring, stakeholder management, recruitment delivery, hiring strategy, and workforce planning among other things.
