MediBuddy has appointed Seema Vijay Singh as the senior vice president (SVP) of people & culture. With over two decades of experience in the human resources sector, Singh will spearhead the overall company culture to accelerate its next phase of growth.

Singh brings a wealth of knowledge in building consumer technology organisations across both multinational corporations as well as start-ups, with a proven track record of success.

Prior to joining MediBuddy, Singh has worked with many brands like Amazon, Lucent technologies, Virgin Mobile, InMobi, NestAway technologies and many others.

Her longest stint was with Amazon, where she played a key role in the conceptualisation and launch of Amazon.in in India, where she was associated with the company for more than six years. Singh had a significant impact on the development and introduction of Amazon.in in India. As a leader in the HR department, she played a crucial role in managing its rapid expansion, while also transforming it into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.

After moving on from Amazon, Singh spent more than a year at InMobi, where she served as an essential member of the core team that propelled InMobi, India’s initial unicorn, to attain EBITDA-0 in 2016. Recently, Singh has also provided guidance and expertise as an advisor to noteworthy Indian start-ups and non-profit organisations, such as Vedantu, Udhyam Learning Foundation, Avanti Fellows, Scaler Academy, and MediBuddy.

Welcoming Singh and expressing his thoughts on the new appointment, Satish Kannan, co-founder and CEO, MediBuddy, mentioned how thrilled they’re that Singh has joined their company. He believes that her inclusion in the leadership team will be instrumental as they embark on an exciting growth journey. “With her leadership skills and deep functional expertise, she will focus on attracting and nurturing top talent while cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation at MediBuddy. We aim to create an environment where everyone can achieve their highest potential and contribute to our mission of making quality healthcare accessible to a billion Indians,” he added.

Replying to the warm welcome wishes, Singh, senior vice president, people & culture, expressed how her expertise in the start-up community will ensure overall growth among the whole MediBuddy family, both personally and professionally. “My primary objective will be to establish systems that allow every member of the team to gain the expertise necessary to accomplish our shared goal. As I embark on my journey with MediBuddy, a significant amount of time will be dedicated to the development and growth of the company’s personnel,” she added.
