Madhav Udyog (Madhav Group) has appointed Vikas Puri as vice president–human resources. In his new role at Madhav Group, Puri will bring together his experience across manufacturing HR, industrial relations, HR strategy and people capability development.

Madhav Udyog manufactures and supplies galvanised steel lattice towers and fabricated structures for transmission lines, telecommunications, railway electrification and solar projects.

Puri joins Madhav Group after a long association with Ambica Steels, where he most recently served as principal partner – HR strategy from May 2024 to March 2025. He was earlier associated with the company as an HR advisor from January 2018 to April 2024. Alongside his corporate assignments, Puri has been working as an HR coach with HR and Winning Studio since October 2016, focusing on people development and HR advisory.

Before his association with Ambica Steels, Puri served as head – HR at Continental Contitech India, part of Continental AG, from September 2015 to October 2016. Prior to this, he was head – corporate HR at Fieldking, where he handled end-to-end HR and industrial relations activities across two manufacturing plants. He was also involved in the company’s upcoming greenfield project near Panipat.

Puri previously spent more than six years with DCM Engineering, serving as head – HRD from 2008 to 2014. His responsibilities included people capability development, talent management, employee engagement, employee involvement and employee relations, giving him extensive exposure to workforce and people-management requirements in manufacturing environments.

His career has largely centred on building people capabilities alongside managing industrial and employee relations. His experience includes HR strategy, competency development and organisational capability building, complemented by hands-on exposure to plant-level HR operations and greenfield projects.

Puri holds an MPM & IR qualification in Human Resources Management and Personnel Administration from Jiwaji University. He has also completed a certificate course in Competency Mapping from TV Rao Learning Systems.
