Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT company, has issued memos to employees who disregarded the company’s ‘work from office’ policy. It had implemented a requirement for employees to work from the office for a minimum of 12 days each month.

In the memo, TCS stated that if employees fail to comply with the office attendance roster, disciplinary action will be taken against them. This move emphasises TCS’s commitment to enforcing the policy and maintaining a structured work environment.

According to a report by the Times of India, TCS’ memo read, ” You are warned and directed to start reporting to work from your office location according to the assigned roster with immediate effect.”

Last year in October, TCS instructed employees to work from the office for three days per week. In recent months, the company has been actively encouraging associates in India to resume working from the office.

TCS reported onboarding more than 44,000 freshers and a record number of experienced professionals in FY 2023. In the quarter ending March 2023, TCS added 821 employees to its workforce. As of March 31, 2023, the total headcount stood at 614,795. TCS also mentioned adding a net of 22,600 employees during FY23. The company expressed excitement about the active and vibrant environment on its campuses.

According to a LinkedIn report in 2023, TCS secured the top spot as the best workplace in India, with Amazon and Morgan Stanley following closely behind.
