RSPL Group, the Indian FMCG conglomerate behind Ghadi detergents, has taken a major step toward inclusive manufacturing by transforming its Chaubepur unit into a women-led facility. Over the past ten months, the plant in Uttar Pradesh has significantly increased female participation, moving women from informal work into secure, formal employment with statutory benefits.
The detergent division now produces around 360 metric tonnes per day, while the soap division delivers 173 metric tonnes daily. Production lines have been designed for operational ease, integrating smart processes and modern technology to support efficiency. Women employees are at the core of these operations, demonstrating strong ownership, disciplined time management, and higher productivity.
Beyond output, the initiative is reshaping workplace culture. Employees benefit from fixed working hours, defined leave policies, and legal protections, enabling better work-life balance. Many women are now able to contribute financially to their households while remaining closely connected to their families.
The transformation has been guided by Kushalta Gyanchandani of the RSPL family, whose leadership has ensured measurable improvements in workforce engagement and productivity. The initiative highlights how structured employment, combined with supportive policies, can empower women while strengthening business outcomes.
The Chaubepur unit stands as a model of how inclusive strategies can drive both social and economic impact. By creating a safe, supportive environment and investing in skilling, technical capabilities, and digital learning, RSPL demonstrates that empowering women at scale is not only a social commitment but also a sustainable growth strategy for modern manufacturing.
