A former JPMorgan Chase employee, identified as Chirayu?Rana, has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against senior executive Lorna?Hajdini, drawing attention to a case the bank has already dismissed as unsubstantiated. Rana, now working at Bregal?Sagemount, alleges that Hajdini subjected him to coercion and abuse while they worked together on the leveraged finance team.
However, JPMorgan?Chase’s internal investigation, led by human resources and legal teams, reportedly found no proof to support the claims. The Bank stated that several employees cooperated during the review, but the complainant did not provide key information. Hajdini has denied all allegations, saying she never engaged in inappropriate conduct or visited the location mentioned in the complaint.
According to reports, Rana and Hajdini were colleagues but did not share a reporting relationship, raising doubts about her ability to influence his pay or career. Rana joined the team in?2024 and filed an internal complaint the following year, later seeking a multimillion dollar settlement before leaving the firm.
The lawsuit also names JPMorgan?Chase as a defendant, accusing it of retaliation and inadequate investigation. The case remains under legal consideration, with no trial date set.
The controversy highlights growing scrutiny of workplace conduct in global finance, where internal investigations and legal claims often collide over questions of accountability and evidence.
