The Mysuru District Employment Exchange will be offering free coaching to students, especially the underprivileged ones, to help them ace the competitive examinations. The coaching classes will be conducted at the Government ITI Campus in NR Mohalla. While the employment exchange has, for some time now, provided free coaching to students preparing for the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) exam, it is now planning to coach candidates interested in the national-level competitive examinations, such as the Staff Select Commission and the exams for bank probationary officers, and so on.

The trainers will help candidates hone their quantitative and analytical aptitude, and also provide training on personality development. The students will be taught English, which will help them gain confidence to face the interviews. The Exchange has already provided classes in computer science (a course that lasted 45 days) and coaching for more exams will be covered in the months to come, including the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) and the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examinations. These classes are offered free of cost to all.

The Exchange will also be offering vocational guidance to high school and pre-university students.
