bp, the global energy company, is all set to establish bp Technical Solutions India (bp TSI), its new centre for its global technical and engineering expertise, in Pune, India.
To be launched in Q2 of 2024, the centre will be owned and operated by bp. The focus will be on building on bp’s existing engineering and technical strengths to deliver high-quality services to its hydrocarbons and new energy businesses, globally.
Job postings were already announced over a month ago, in December 2023. The company expects to have a 400+ strong team by the end of 2024. The size of the team is expected to expand to at least a 1000 in the next couple of years.
Molyama Kromah has been appointed head of bp Technical Solutions India, based in Pune. Kromah, who has been with bp for over two decades, moves from bp’s joint venture with Reliance Industries, in Mumbai.
bp TSI will be offering technical services in various areas, including engineering, maintenance, optimisation, data processes, projects and subsurface.bp.
Pune is the ideal location for the CoE given that it houses numerous engineering and technical colleges, offering access to a diverse and rich talent pool. Pune also houses bp’s global business solutions centre and innovation and engineering digital hub, which has played a critical role in the transformation of bp’s business processes.
