    Lenskart to hire 2000+ across India in 1 year

    Lenskart, the Indian omnichannel eye-wear brand, will hire over 2,000 people across the country as part of its ambitious expansion plans. It has been on the lookout for talent in tech and data science.

    With a goal of increasing its consumer base in the next few years, the Company will add 1,500 more retail employees, who will manage its stores. It will also take on over a 100 engineers in its tech teams in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Delhi – NCR. About 300 people will be added to its supply chain and manufacturing teams, while at least a 100 will be taken on for its corporate office, for the finance, human resources, merchandising and consumer insights departments.

    Another 300 employees, including data scientists, business analysts, data engineers and experts will be hired for its teams in Singapore, the Middle East and the US.

    Peyush Bansal, founder and CEO, Lenskart said that the Company’s growth and presence in regional markets and through e-commerce “has opened up several job opportunities to serve and delight our customers at a huge scale.”

    The Company aims to “hire the best talent and provide them the right environment and support so they can realise their potential.” Bansal calls Lenskart “a highly entrepreneurial space with innovation and ambition at the core”, and which encourages “employees to think big, experiment and aim for 10x impact together.”

    Lenskart has over 200 engineers, data scientists and product designers from diverse backgrounds. The team comprises former entrepreneurs to promising new employees who want to start their career and develop a 10x growth mindset. Lenskart has focussed on diversity in every aspect — gender, expertise, ideas and backgrounds.

    Founded in 2010, the brand serves over seven million customers annually in India, Singapore and the Middle East through its online and mobile applications.
