Siemens Digital Industries Software has unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration with Salesforce to advance manufacturing efficiency and enhance service revenue. The newly launched Teamcenter SLM app on Salesforce AppExchange marks a significant integration of Siemens’ Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management with Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud. This strategic alliance empowers manufacturers to embrace service-centric business models, augment customer experiences, and bolster service-generated revenue.

Zvi Feuer, Senior Vice President of Digital Manufacturing at Siemens Digital Industries Software, emphasised the innovative potential of connecting customer relationship and service lifecycle platforms. This fusion, orchestrated by Siemens and Salesforce, aspires to revolutionise service operations by integrating product knowledge seamlessly with the customer narrative. The app promises a transformative customer service experience, fostering collaboration between engineering and service teams, and enhancing customer satisfaction through precise and centralised information delivery.

Key benefits of the Teamcenter SLM app include heightened operational efficiency, reduced service costs, and improved alignment between sales and service efforts. Service teams equipped with comprehensive asset information and tools can elevate the customer service experience, thereby driving revenue growth. The app facilitates greater visibility for technicians and field staff into customer asset information, complemented by graphically rich product data from Teamcenter.

Leveraging Salesforce’s AI technology, Einstein, the app scans knowledge articles developed from service plans authored in Teamcenter to facilitate quick resource identification and problem resolution. Furthermore, by incorporating service events into each asset’s digital twin, manufacturers can continuously enhance product quality.

Achyut Jajoo, SVP & GM of Manufacturing and Automotive at Salesforce, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting its potential to increase efficiency, improve service, and open new revenue streams. By combining Salesforce’s real-time data and AI capabilities with Siemens’ Teamcenter service lifecycle management, the collaboration aims to propel digital transformation in the manufacturing sector.

The Teamcenter SLM app is currently available on Salesforce AppExchange. Siemens and Salesforce’s joint effort signifies a commitment to advancing digital transformation, driving opportunities for manufacturers, and accelerating the servitisation of manufacturing processes.
