Sony Pictures undergoes leadership changes, organisational restructuring

Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India is preparing to be a future ready firm, as part of its Vision 3.0

In its attempts to achieve Vision 3.0, Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India has undergone a major revamp of its top ranks. The major leadership changes include the transition of Rohit Gupta to advisor to the management and the board; additional responsibility of international sales to Rajesh Kaul, who is the chief revenue officer – distribution and business head – sports and appointment of Sandeep Mehrotra as head-ad sales, network channels.

With immediate effect, Danish Khan, business head – Sony Entertainment Television, digital business and StudioNext, will take on the additional responsibility of network channels licensing. Tushar Shah, business head, English, factual entertainment & Sony AATH, will take on the additional role of chief marketing officer (CMO) for SPN, which is a newly created position. Aditya Mehta, who handles corporate strategy and business development, will now lead the formation of the data analytics CoE. He will also look after business monetization.

Nitin Nadkarni, chief finance officer (CFO) will take on additional responsibilities of broadcast operations and network engineering (B.O.N.E), while Kingshuk Bhattacharya – Head, B.O.N.E. will now report to Nadkarni.

Rohit Gupta, who was chief revenue officer – ad sales and international business will now be advisor to the management and the board. He will advise senior management on industry trends, developments and work closely with the CEO on industry issues that could positively impact the company’s strategy and growth. Rajesh Kaul who is the chief revenue officer – distribution and business head – sports, will take on additional charge of international sales to work closely with the digital team to expand SPN’s brand presence globally. Neeraj Arora, who head international sales will now report directly to Kaul. Sandeep Mehrotra is the head – ad sales, network channels.
