Amazon India is has launched a dedicated Indian Military Talent Pool website, which will cater exclusively to military veterans and transitioning service personnel, who are keen to explore opportunities at Amazon India. This website is in line with Amazon’s global vision of hiring 25,000 military veterans by 2025. It will offer an opportunity to military veterans to transition to corporate life and contribute to Amazon’s customer obsession.

“If you are a Veteran, transitioning service member or a military spouse, we encourage you to join our talent pool. Amazon currently has open roles that can provide great careers in a wide variety of fields” says the website.

The website will offer multiple opportunities to members of the military community comprising transitioning military personnel, veterans, reservists, or military spouses, to innovate and solve real-world, complex technical and business problems as they join Amazon India.

The Company already has in place a ‘Military Veterans Employment’ programme, which was rolled out in 2019. The programme creates work opportunities for military veterans and their spouses.

This was a result of Amazon India Operations’ partnership with the office of the Director General of Resettlement (DGR), Indian Naval Placement Agency (INPA), Indian Air Force Placement Agency (IAFPA), and Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) to ensure continued work opportunities for military veterans in the country.

Amazon India has full faith in the invaluable experience and unique skills that the diverse pool of military veterans comes with. Their presence and contribution helps further the Company’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Amazon India assures a fast-paced work environment that is continually evolving and full of challenges.
