    BEL announces 17 vacancies, in Bangalore and Kochi

    Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has announced 17 vacancies for engineers, the recruitment for which will take place at Bengalure and Kochi.

    There are three opening for senior assistant engineers at Bangalore. Retired or serving officers who are nearing retirement from any of the Armed Forces, with a three-year diploma in engineering or equivalent in electronics and electronics & telecommunication or electrical may apply. They should have 15 years of experience. Those who have worked in the Naval Ship Repair Yard at Port Blair or with BEL Equipment, will be preferred. The selected candidates will be required to work for five years, which may be extended by another five years, if required.

    The senior assistant engineers are expected to lend technical support in the installation and commissioning of BEL supplied equipment on ships and submarines, and also be actively involved in on-board trials.

    Seven openings exist for project engineers at Kochi. Those who have completed a BE or BTech in electronics, or electronics and communication or telecommunication engineering may apply. They should have knowledge of electronics system design and electronic testing tools. They should also be aware of digital signal processing and possess knowledge of C/C++ programming and VHDL programming.

    Minimum two-year work experience in the relevant industry is compulsory.

    At Kochi, there are four vacancies for project engineers (mechanical). The applicants are expected to be mechanical engineering graduates. They should have practical experience in 3D modelling of mechanical systems using solid works. A minimum two-year experience of modelling with surfaces, doubly curved surfaces and shell structures is expected.

    Three openings are available for project engineers (computer science) in Kochi. Graduates in computer science or computer science and engineering, may apply. Knowledge of programming in C/C++ with QT framework, of the fundamentals of LINUX and Windows OS, and software engineering processes is expected. The candidates should also have at least two years of experience with object-oriented programming and UML diagrams.

    The application forms can be downloaded from the official BEL website before October 5.

    An organisation that manufactures advanced electronics for the Armed Forces, BEL will pay the selected candidates a salary of up to Rs 1,20,000.
