To cover the physical and psychological wellbeing of employees, BYJU’s has come up with a tailor- made health-insurance policy. The new policy gives the flexibility to employees to choose a suitable cover for family members such as parents, siblings, in-laws, and same-gender partners in the same plan. Moreover, with an extended cover of Rs 4 lakh, employees also have the option to top up the cover. The new health policy package includes mental and psychiatric treatments, COVID home care treatment, emergency hospitalisation (without active line of treatment), and enhanced maternity coverage.

Some other features of the new health policy are no waiting period and coverage of pre-existing diseases, which give it a competitive edge.

Talking about how the health and wellness of our employees is paramount for the Company, Pravin Prakash, chief people officer, BYJU’S says, “Our efforts have always been focused on fostering an environment in which BYJUites feel heard and supported. This updated policy is another proactive effort to create a more holistic and comfortable employee experience and expresses gratitude to every employee who has been working tirelessly during the pandemic.”

The updated and customised policy aims to ensure the overall well-being of all the employees at BYJU’s in these unprecedented times. It is hoped that it will aid them during medical emergencies and relieve them of financial stress.
