Capgemini to expand its workforce by 24,000 in 2021

Capgemini is gearing to hire about 24,000 people in 2021. It had hired a similar number last year too. It is looking out for talent in the fields of cloud computing, big data, cybersecurity, data science, Java, Oracle and SAP. The French information technology (IT) services company is confident of the high demand from clients in these areas, and is likely to visit more new campuses to pick talent, along with the engineering colleges where it is a regular.

The ongoing pandemic has not had much effect on hiring at Capgemini, which added about 9,500 people to its team in the first six months of 2020 — mainly freshers and laterals — and about 13,500 experienced people in the rest of the year.

Capgemini is one of the regulars at the placement drives in the IITs, NITs, government and private technical institutes, including College of Engineering Pune, Birla Institute of Technology and Services (Pilani), Amity and Vellore Institute of Technology.

The French multinational company, which provides consulting, technology and professional services throughout the world, has been known to offer jobs to aspirants who possess a BE or BTech degree in electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), computer science engineering(CSE), information technology(IT), electronics and communication engineering (ECE), electrical engineering, telecom engineering and electrical and instrumentation engineering(EI).

While the Company prefers Indian citizens for the jobs, it allows graduates from Bhutan and Nepal also to apply.
