The Company operating in the hospitality sector is in revival mode now after being severely hit by the pandemic

Cleartrip, the online trip services provider, has announced that it is planning to increase its total headcount by about 40 per cent in 2022. This will translate into employment for about 400 professionals by December 2022, which will take the team strength to 700.

The hiring is part of the travel aggregator’s plans to offer more digitally-enabled experiences to its customers.

As of the current financial quarter, the Company has increased its total employee strength by 60 per cent from the 240 employees it had in October 2021.

Ayyappan Rajagopal, CEO, Cleartrip, released a statement saying that the Company has been witnessing a steady recovery in customer confidence and is expecting it to get back to pre-COVID levels. Further, he believes that the time is perfect for Cleartrip to upscale operations, which were badly hit by the pandemic but are currently on the path to recovery.

Scaling will remain one of the key goals of the Company in 2022. Presently, the Company is looking to make additions across its tech, product, growth and emerging business teams.

A major chunk of Cleartrip’s hiring will be to support its plans to scale up the hotel business across India and build up its current verticals. Therefore, it will hire across Rajasthan, Punjab, West Bengal, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other popular destinations.
