As per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, the Government will soon clear all pending dues for the central government employees and also give salary increments. In addition, the Finance Ministry will be putting off the taxes on ration money allowance and risk, hardship allowances.

It has been decided that all the non-gazetted employees of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will receive the ration allowance. Other than Delhi Police, IB, A&N Police and personnel of the India Reserve Batallion (IRBn), who do not eat from the mess will receive ration money allowance.

Presently this allowance stands at Rs 79.93 per day for gazetted personnel and Rs 95.52 per day for non-gazetted employees.

Salary increments have also been announced for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel.

Central Government employees who are presently drawing Rs 18,000 have been demanding an increment of Rs 8000 in their minimum basic salary. Even the employees of the Indian Railways, including those on deputation to BSNL will receive the hike.

As for the new recruits who have joined in entry-level posts, the salary will be hiked from Rs.7,000 to Rs.18,000 per month. Newly hired Class I officers will receive a minimum salary of Rs.56,100 per month. Cabinet secretaries and others at the same level will receive Rs.2.5 lakh per month.
