Zee Media (ZMCL) is granting its employees 50 per cent advance on the annual variable pay (VPay) for the current financial year, that is, 2024-25. This festival advance will be paid to them along with their October salary as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

This Diwali announcement from the Indian media company brings much positivity and undescores Zee Media’s commitment to fostering a supportive workplace culture that values and rewards dedication.

According to Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO, Zee Media, this is the company’s way of showing “our appreciation in a meaningful way. By advancing a portion of their annual variable pay, we hope to enable our team to celebrate the season with added confidence and joy.” Singh hopes that the workforce can “look forward to a promising year ahead, fuelled by resilience and shared ambition.”

The advance is a meaningful gesture aimed to energise employees as Zee Media embraces a forward-looking approach, building on its successes and reaffirming its dedication to employee well-being for a productive year ahead.

Clearly, as Singh puts it, Zee Media believes “our employees are at the heart of our success.”

Zee Media runs 18 news channels in seven different languages, reaching more than 528+ million viewers through its linear and digital properties. The company reportedly earned a total revenue of Rs 224 crore for the half-year ending 30 September, 2024. This is 6.6 per cent higher than the Rs 210 crore earned during the same time in the previous financial year.
