slice, a fintech startup, is gearing to hire almost 800 people for various roles across its operations, design, product, and engineering verticals in the new year. It aims to expand its team to twice the present size in 2022.
Rajan Bajaj, founder and CEO of slice, reveals that the Company is on the lookout for people “with a special focus on building and growing our product, operations, design, and engineering teams”. He believes, “MZs (Millennials & Genz) are strong problem-solvers with a steep learning curve. They are not afraid to challenge the status quo, making them the ideal fit for slice, where we are on the cusp of revolutionising India’s credit & payments space.”
This Indian credit card challenger to pay bills, manage expenses, and unlock rewards offers a simple and transparent app to help members make transactions easily.
In order to scale the business and ensure operational excellence, the startup believes that a strong operations team with people who can leverage tech and design thinking skills to solve internal operation issues is critical.
The new recruits will focus on scaling the card product and upcoming UPI product integration. About 40 per cent of the new hires will be part of the firm’s engineering, product and operations teams.
Clearly, the Company has a lot of faith in young talent, and values potential over experience.
The average age of the employees at slice is 26 years, and in the future too, the Company will continue to hire youngsters who may lack relevant experience but showcase immense potential and promise.
