One of the world’s workforce experts for more than 65 years, the Manpower Group, has entered into a partnership with Globsyn Business School (GBS) to introduce a postgraduate programme on management of human resources (PGPM)

Globsyn Business School has collaborated with the Manpower Group to develop a unique programme for aspiring student managers. Globally renowned for its innovative workforce solutions, the Manpower Group has taken this opportunity to perfectly blend academic knowledge with intensive practice-based learning, to mould great leaders.

The course will cover a span of two years in a workspace environment. Divided into four semesters, the programme aims to push the frontiers of knowledge with effective exchange between institution and industry, by bringing management apprenticeship to mainstream business management education.

The first and second semesters will be dedicated to classroom learning to be provided by Globsyn Business School, while the last two semesters will be dedicated to industrial apprenticeship at the Manpower Group.

As a part of the Fortune 500 companies, the Manpower Group is known for its unique initiatives. Its association with GBS will produce results in the form of managers ready for the corporate world of tomorrow.

With admissions capped at 20 seats, the competition will be tough. However, towards the end of the course, the qualifying students will surely become a distinctive part of any corporate environment. Armed with academic knowledge and the ability to apply their learning to understand the underlying rationale and current issues of human resources, they will be able to fulfill the need of the industry today.

The 2015–16 batch will experience the first of its kind programme at Globsyn’s eight-acre, state-of-the-art campus in Kolkata. Students possessing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3) are eligible to apply. GBS also accepts students on the basis of their CAT or MAT scores. Additionally, candidates are required to appear for the GAT (Globsyn Admission Test) examination and interview.
