Having witnessed 100 per cent placement, an Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad MTech student has managed to bag an offer of Rs 1.4 crore per year, from Google.
Pratham Prakash Gupta will earn about Rs 11.6 per month as salary. Others in his MTech 2022 batch have also bagged attractive offers from tech companies.
Gupta will be working as a software engineer at Google, in London, as soon as he passes out later this year.
Five students from this year’s MTech batch at IIIT Allahabad have been made offers worth crores, from companies such as Google, Apple, Netflix, Facebook and Amazon. The highest package was of course the one given to Gupta, followed by a package of Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 1.2 crore.
The Institute had introduced new courses in data science and analytics in MTech and all students of the first batch have been successfully placed.
A significant 48 per cent of the hopefuls in the BTech batch, comprising 328 students, have also got job offers from Apple, Amazon, Facebook and the likes. About 250 students received a package of over Rs 20 lakh per annum, while the average package offered was of Rs 30.42 lakh per annum.
In the MBA batch, which saw 75 percent placement, the highest package offered was that of Rs 35 lakhs per annum. The MBA students were offered jobs by Rudrakashi Technologies, Airtel, Impact Guru, Rudrakshi Technologies, and so on.
