Government launches job portal for MSME sector

The portal aims to boost growth and ensure maximum awareness and employability.

To kickstart the growth of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), the Government of India has launched a unique online portal for jobseekers. Potential candidates can surf the website www.eex.dcmsme.gov.in to find relevant jobs in the MSME sector. The newly-launched website will not just benefit employees but will also help the industry to find skilled manpower.

The MSME sector is highly underrated. Though it provides employment to a large section of population, and contributes about 45 per cent in the country’s total exports and about 40 per cent in the manufacturing sector, it does not receive the attention that it deserves. With this platform, the sector will become more organised.

Jobseekers will be able to register themselves on the website without any charge, while a small fee may be charged from the industries. MSME Minister, Kalraj Mishra, inaugurated the portal himself and talked about how the platform could be a game changer in the sector.
